With a commitment to innovation and research and development, RTX encompasses three market-leading businesses that provide unparalleled capabilities and opportunities. These efforts help connect and protect our world by pushing the boundaries of science and technology. Known previously as Raytheon, the company brings over 100 years of esteemed engineering experience to design and deliver advanced defense solutions that help safeguard nations and deter potential threats. RTX’s dedication to excellence is reflected in its world-class operations and an unwavering pursuit of superior mission readiness for its customers and allies.
This specific role is an onsite position based in McKinney, Texas, requiring up to 20% travel. The position is that of an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for the Teton program, demanding strong leadership and strategic execution across a multifaceted defense project. The IPTL will spearhead activities from development through execution, managing responsibilities that include cost control, schedule adherence, and ensuring earned value (EV) performance. The role demands close coordination with various cross-functional teams spanning engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality control, program management, and subcontracting partners. Success in this role comes from balancing technical excellence with affordability, operational efficiency, and meeting stringent customer and business goals. Regular interaction with program leadership, chief engineering, and customers will be essential to provide clear status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
Candidates must possess a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Demonstrated expertise in leading cross-functional teams in complex defense or advanced technology programs is critical. This person should be adept at managing subcontractors, driving risk management initiatives, and ensuring comprehensive program readiness and execution planning. A strong background in interfacing with senior leadership and managing competing priorities under fast-paced conditions is required. Moreover, the position requires holding or the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance, restricted to U.S. citizens.
RTX values core principles such as Safety, Trust, Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, and Innovation, which govern the company culture and operational ethos. The company offers competitive salaries ranging from $132,400 to $251,600 USD, with a broad benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, paid time off, holidays, and parental leave. RTX supports relocation for eligible candidates and fosters a secure hiring process that may require some interviews onsite regardless of role designation.
In sum, this role presents an exceptional opportunity for seasoned professionals seeking to contribute to groundbreaking aerospace and defense initiatives within a leading global enterprise. Join RTX and help shape the future trajectory of aerospace technology and national security while growing your career within a supportive and innovative environment.
