Ecolab is currently seeking a Territory Sales and Service Representative in Training to join its team in the USA, Washington, Everett market. The Territory Sales and Service Representative in Training will serve as the face of Ecolab in their region, developing deep customer relationships and using problem-solving skills to maintain and enhance equipment performance. The position requires technical aptitude for conducting preventative and corrective maintenance and the ability to respond to emergency service requests promptly. Training is comprehensive and includes a paid 12-week program combining digital learning, classroom instruction, live demonstrations, and on-the-job mentoring at Ecolab’s state-of-the-art facility in Eagan, Minnesota, with travel and related expenses paid by the company.
The role demands a proactive approach, utilizing tools such as tablets and mobile apps for customer visits and program recommendations. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to manage their schedules independently, benefit from access to best-in-class resources and technology, and receive company vehicles and communication devices to support daily functions. The position includes weekend rotations, typically one weekend a month, to meet business needs.
The role offers a competitive annual compensation range from $50,000 to $80,000, factoring in experience, education, and location among others. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED
- 2 years of relevant sales or mechanical service experience
- availability to work overnight shifts, weekends and holidays for emergency assistance
- valid Driver’s License with no restrictions
- residence within 50 miles of Everett, WA
- physical ability to lift 50 lbs, push/pull, stand, bend, stoop, and work in confined spaces
- ability to distinguish colors
- willingness to work overtime
- eligibility to drive a company vehicle and pass motor vehicle record checks
- no immigration sponsorship available
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED
- 2 years of sales experience, mechanical service, customer service, food service or hospitality industry-related experience
- availability to work overnight shifts and provide emergency assistance which may occur at night, on weekends and over holidays
- current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions
- associate’s degree or other advanced training or certifications preferred
- previous mechanical problem-solving experience like plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or mechanical experience in related industries preferred
Job Duties
- Leverage tools and technology including tablet and mobile phone apps to conduct customer visits and recommend unique programs and solutions to customers
- communicate our total value to the customer to meet their needs and grow sales within existing customer accounts
- use problem-solving skills to conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on laundry and dish machines, dispensing equipment, and systems
- provide emergency service to existing customers via phone or in person as needed
- assist in the installation of equipment and solutions
- demonstrate safe equipment use to ensure customers' operations are fully functional
- manage equipment, parts, and inventory to control costs
