With a rich history spanning decades, the company has built a strong reputation in the foodservice industry by emphasizing collaboration, integrity, and dedication to its customers and employees alike. US Foods serves a diverse variety of customers including restaurants, healthcare facilities, hospitality businesses, and other foodservice operators. This commitment to excellence is matched by the company’s focus on investing in its people, offering engaging career opportunities and comprehensive growth programs for professional development. The company embraces a culture centered around teamwork, respect, and a shared passion for food, making it a dynamic and rewarding place to work.
The role of Territory Manager at US Foods is pivotal in driving the sales and profitability goals of both established and new customers. This position involves managing customer relationships through a team-based selling approach while offering tailored product solutions that meet client needs. The Territory Manager will be responsible for sales of food and non-food items, proactively engaging customers to maximize their product usage and profits. This role includes leveraging resources to identify and pursue opportunities such as new account openings and top market penetration initiatives. Newly hired Territory Managers may initially hold a TM Unassigned classification while completing a company-provided training program to build the skills necessary for success in this role. After successful training, Territory Managers are assigned specific territories where they can cultivate customer relationships, expand business, and foster brand loyalty.
US Foods emphasizes a customer-centric philosophy that goes beyond simply offering quality products. The company aims to provide value-added services by sharing market intelligence, product innovations, and competitive insights to help customers make informed choices. The Territory Manager plays a critical role in delivering this value, ensuring effective communication, timely product delivery, and resolution of any order-related issues. This position requires excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills as well as the ability to work in a dynamic, sometimes outdoor, environment. US Foods supports this role with competitive compensation ranging from $55,000 to $95,000 annually, depending on experience and location, plus incentive opportunities and a robust package of benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Overall, this is an excellent career opportunity for motivated individuals passionate about sales, customer service, and the foodservice industry to grow professionally within a recognized leader in the market.
