Job Description
Ecolab is a global leader dedicated to creating and maintaining clean, safe, and healthy environments through innovative science-based solutions. Founded over a century ago, Ecolab operates in more than 170 countries with a workforce of around 48,000 associates. The company serves a variety of sectors including foodservice, hospitality, healthcare, life sciences, and industrial markets. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and industry expertise, Ecolab advances food safety, improves operational efficiencies, optimizes water and energy use, and promotes sustainability worldwide. Ecolab’s commitment to public health and environmental stewardship has positioned it as a trusted partner to millions of customers, helping them meet rigorous cleanliness and safety standards while supporting responsible resource management.
The Institutional team at Ecolab specifically focuses on enhancing customer success in sectors such as hospitality, foodservice, long-term care, commercial, education, and government. Their goal is to ensure satisfied guests, protect reputations, and enable efficient operations by delivering exceptional service and science-backed guidance in areas including cleanliness, food safety, and public health.
The Territory Sales and Service Representative role based in Seattle, WA offers an exciting opportunity to be the face of Ecolab within a defined territory. This field-based position requires servicing laundry and dish machines, dispensing equipment and systems, and selling new solutions that help customers achieve cleaner, safer, and healthier environments. The role combines technical service work—including preventative and corrective maintenance—with sales responsibilities, allowing for a dynamic workday leveraging problem-solving and customer engagement skills. New hires undergo a comprehensive 12-week training program, including in-field training and instruction at Ecolab’s corporate headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota. Ecolab supports this training fully by covering associated travel expenses.
As a Territory Sales and Service Representative, you will leverage mobile technology to conduct customer visits, recommend tailored solutions, and communicate the total value of Ecolab’s offerings to maximize customer satisfaction and sales growth. Emergency service and installation assistance form part of your responsibilities, along with managing equipment, parts, and inventory to control costs effectively. The role offers a blend of independent work—such as managing your monthly schedule—with access to a collaborative support network and robust safety training.
Ecolab provides excellent benefits from day one, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401K matching program, paid parental leave, and employee stock purchase plans. The company encourages career growth with opportunities to develop along service, sales, or management paths, supported by tuition reimbursement. The position offers a company service vehicle and cell phone for business use, with fuel and other relevant expenses covered. Weekend work is required on a rotating basis approximately one in six weeks, and overnight shifts or emergency calls may occasionally be necessary.
This role requires a current and valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least two years of related experience in sales, mechanical service, customer service, food service, or hospitality. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling, standing and bending, and working in confined spaces. Ecolab promotes an inclusive workplace culture and is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities.
