About the Role: Ecolab’s Food Retail Services (FRS) division is focused on providing superior cleaning, sanitation, and food safety solutions to a wide range of grocery and retail customers across over 55 countries. Within FRS, the Territory Representative position located in the Lexington, KY market plays a critical role in supporting customer food safety programs and delivering top-tier service excellence. This customer-facing role involves managing a designated territory that includes Lexington, KY and Cincinnati, OH and requires maintaining strong customer relationships, installing and maintaining sanitation equipment, and conducting food safety audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
The Territory Representative supports food retail customers by implementing Ecolab's industry-leading cleaning and sanitation programs to reduce foodborne illness risks and maintain food safety standards. The representative will facilitate sales through both service excellence and the introduction of new products and innovations. Besides sales responsibilities, the role emphasizes training customers on product and service use, conducting audits that influence operational success, and maintaining equipment that ensures program effectiveness. The position is field-based, involving minimal overnight travel and requires availability for weekend coverage approximately once every twelve weeks.
The role offers a competitive salary ranging between $58,700 and $88,100 annually, which includes base pay and performance-based incentives. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- 4 years of outside sales or industry related (foodservice, hospitality, etc.) experience
- must be 21 years of age or older
- current and valid driver's license with no restrictions
- availability to provide emergency call assistance which may occur at night, on weekends and over holidays
- no immigration sponsorship available for this position

- ability to work in a variety of conditions including confined spaces, damp/dusty areas, and extreme temperatures

- bachelor's degree preferred
- mechanical experience (plumbing, electrical) and experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment preferred
- food safety knowledge/experience or CP-FS certification preferred
- military experience preferred
- previous business to business sales experience preferred
Job Duties
- install and maintain equipment and collateral to ensure proper function and appearance
- complete food safety audits based on the customer's required visit frequency and evaluate each department for compliance
- facilitate the sale of Ecolab products by making suggestions for improvements with existing products and new innovations
- train customers on use of Ecolab products and services
- maintain positive relationships with customers by evaluating their needs with a focus on sales opportunities
