Job Description
Backyard Products is a well-established company dedicated to transforming America’s backyards into cherished staycation destinations since 1975. With decades of experience and a deep passion for quality outdoor living solutions, Backyard Products serves as the parent company of two distinguished brands: Lawn Master Outdoor Living and Big Timber Structures. Lawn Master Outdoor Living offers custom, high-end pergolas and pavilions that add a stunning "wow factor" to outdoor spaces, delivering award-winning designs and premium timber shade structures. They have proudly maintained a strong partnership with The Home Depot for over ten years, offering customers top-tier products and exceptional outdoor living experiences. Big Timber Structures focuses on providing superior-quality, American-made timber carports, gazebos, pergolas, and pavilions directly to consumers. The brand has established itself through outstanding craftsmanship and a commitment to delivering unparalleled customer service to homeowners and business owners nationwide.
This role, Territory Manager, is an exciting and vital position within the company, designed for motivated individuals interested in sales and project management across residential and commercial markets. Reporting to the National Sales Manager and Talent Development Manager, Territory Managers will oversee a designated market area, currently focusing on key locations in the Georgia and Alabama region. This is a full-time, remote position offering a flexible work schedule while requiring travel within the assigned territory. Territory Managers are responsible for driving sales growth by generating high-ticket custom outdoor shade structure sales, managing project progress from consultation through installation, and ensuring outstanding client satisfaction.
In this role, you will interact directly with leads generated by extensive product marketing efforts, including displays at major big box retailers like The Home Depot. Your responsibilities will range from conducting onsite and virtual consultations to designing and bidding custom outdoor structures, processing project documentation, and managing multiple sales stages simultaneously. Beyond sales, you will maintain strong relationships with retail partners, ensure presentation displays meet company standards, and collaborate closely with dedicated teams in customer service, marketing, design, and production based at the company headquarters. The Territory Manager position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $40,000 to $55,000 annually, in addition to an uncapped 3% commission on all sales, with total earning potential reaching $65,000 to $90,000 or more, along with performance bonuses and sales contests.
Successful candidates will possess a strong professional demeanor, exceptional organizational skills, and a self-driven, sales-oriented mindset. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and be willing to travel extensively within their territory, including occasional overnight stays. Experience with construction knowledge, professional verbal and written communication, and proficiency with computer systems such as Microsoft Office, email, Salesforce, and CRM tools are required. A background in residential or commercial sales, construction, landscaping, real estate, or project management is highly preferred. In return, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with matching, paid time off, company vehicle options, and more. If you are motivated to build a rewarding career in outdoor living sales with a company that values quality and customer experience, this is a prime opportunity to join a dynamic team with nationwide reach.
