Avanos fosters a dynamic and nimble culture of innovation, emphasizing independence, collaboration, and continuous improvement in its work environment. The company prides itself on its mission to make a meaningful difference in products, services, and healthcare challenges impacting lives worldwide.
Avanos is currently seeking a Territory Manager for Interventional Pain based in Central Texas, covering key locations such as Austin, San Antonio, Waco, and Temple. This role is a pivotal part of the company’s sales team and focuses on delivering both capital equipment and consumable products related to pain treatment, including nerve ablation needles, radiofrequency ablation products, and other innovative medical devices. The Territory Manager will work closely with healthcare professionals and decision-makers in hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and clinics within the designated territory to meet or exceed sales objectives.
The role requires a strategic and analytical sales approach, utilizing a thorough understanding of medical products and healthcare environments. The Territory Manager will manage a sales funnel for capital equipment while boosting product adoption in existing accounts. Emphasis is placed on forming and maintaining strong relationships with surgeons, physicians, therapists, nurses, clinicians, and administrative personnel to support the growth of Avanos' market presence. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and is essential to executing strategic plans and increasing market share through contract negotiations and local pricing strategies.
Candidates for this role should demonstrate a robust knowledge of the hospital and ambulatory surgery center buying processes, including familiarity with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and distributor roles. Additionally, understanding healthcare reimbursement models such as fee-for-service, value-based care, and alternative payment methods will enable the Territory Manager to provide valuable insights and tailored solutions to clients. The position demands excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and effective time management. Frequent travel, including overnight stays and occasional weekend trade show attendance, is required to maintain a robust presence and foster customer relationships.
Avanos values professional growth and the ability to lead amidst ambiguity while maintaining persistence to achieve long-term goals. The company offers a competitive salary range between $70,000 and $130,000, supplemented by an attractive incentive compensation program and comprehensive benefits. With a strong emphasis on employee wellbeing, Avanos provides extensive benefits from day one, including health benefits, a 401(k) with generous employer match, free onsite gym and cafeteria facilities, and an overall supportive and engaging workplace culture. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced medical device sales professionals to advance their career in a company committed to transforming healthcare and making a real difference in the lives of patients and communities worldwide.
