Job Description

Chobani is a leading food manufacturer committed to producing high-quality and nutritious food products that are accessible to a broad audience, while fostering community growth and promoting global health. Founded in 2005 by Hamdi Ulukaya, an immigrant to the United States, Chobani has grown to become America's number one yogurt brand, recognized for its natural ingredients and the absence of artificial preservatives. Beyond yogurt, the company produces oat milk and creamers, staying true to its mission of making good food for all. The company has expanded through strategic acquisitions, including La Colombe, a premier coffee roaster, and Daily Harvest, a brand that offers convenient, healthy ready-to-make meals. These additions have diversified Chobani's portfolio to include cold-pressed espresso and latte beverages sold nationwide, ready-to-drink coffee products at retail, and nutritious meal solutions all while maintaining a strong commitment to quality, craftmanship, and social impact. With manufacturing operations across New York, Idaho, Michigan, and Australia, and distribution channels throughout North America, Australia, and select international markets, Chobani is positioned as a global leader in the food and wellness industry. The company places an emphasis on using food as a force for good, delivering not only exceptional products but also investing in philanthropic efforts that benefit communities locally and globally. Chobani prioritizes a people-first culture and inclusivity, ensuring equal employment opportunities free from discrimination on any protected basis. Annual compensation for this role ranges from $82,500 to $129,800, supplemented by bonuses, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. Detailed salary information varies by location and candidate qualifications and will be discussed during the hiring process.

The role of Territory Manager (TM) at Chobani, specifically focused on the La Colombe portfolio, centers on managing a diverse mixed-channel account base within an assigned market territory. This challenging position demands expertise across both hospitality and foodservice verticals where account segmentation does not warrant specialized focus for each channel individually. Territory Managers oversee relationships with a variety of hospitality accounts such as hotels, casinos, premium chain restaurants, fast casual concepts, and high-end bakeries, as well as foodservice clients including Business & Industry corporate dining, healthcare systems, and college and university dining programs. This breadth of responsibility requires the ability to fluently switch between the distinct buyer mindsets and buying processes that characterize hospitality and foodservice sectors, often within the same day. The Territory Manager acts as the La Colombe brand ambassador and is tasked with selling the full spectrum of premium coffee products, including drip and espresso programs, cold brew options, office coffee service solutions, and innovative on-tap beverage platforms.

Key responsibilities for this role include owning and driving revenue from a mixed portfolio, hunting for new accounts, defending existing business with strong retention efforts, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline through all stages of the cycle. Successful candidates must tailor sales strategies and client engagement based on whether they are addressing hospitality buyers—who focus on guest experience, brand alignment, and service standards—or foodservice buyers—who prioritize cost effectiveness, program economics, and satisfaction levels of employees or students. The role also involves executing national contract initiatives and joint business plans collaboratively with National Account Managers, carrying financial and category analytics to optimize wallet share and profitability, and leading product demonstrations that resonate with varied customer types.

Additionally, Territory Managers cultivate strong relationships at various leadership levels in both channels, from General Managers and Food & Beverage directors to contract dining and healthcare foodservice executives. Coordination with major distributors, equipment service teams, education managers for training, marketing for co-op programs, and client services for order fulfillment is essential to provide a seamless customer experience. Maintaining detailed and up-to-date CRM records, delivering consistent sales pipeline and forecast reporting, and participating in regional sales meetings and reviews ensures accountability and alignment with broader company goals.

This is a market-based role requiring significant travel—over 60% within the assigned territory—and a willingness to engage in a dynamic, field-focused sales environment. A successful Territory Manager at Chobani is a proven hunter with strong consultative selling skills, adaptability to diverse buyer languages, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools such as HubSpot. This position offers the opportunity to represent a brand that values quality, innovation, social responsibility, and community impact in the premium coffee and foodservice space.
