Job Requirements

Previous restaurant experience preferred
Strong communication and listening skills
Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance
Self-motivated and interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, reach, bend and stoop

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of table numbers
Ability to ensure each dish appears correctly prepared
Experience assisting with side work before, during and after shifts
Ability to provide prompt and accurate service to guests
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in dining and expo stations
Flexibility to assist coworkers in various roles including as Barista if assigned
Capability to work efficiently during peak periods and large parties

Job Duties

Assist in all areas of service with a focus on running food and maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant
Know table numbers
Ensure each dish appears correctly prepared
Assist with side work before, during and after each shift
Stay aware of the dining room and be prepared to provide any item a guest requests
Maintain overall appearance of dining room and expo station
Deliver food promptly to guests and describe and answer questions about each dish
Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate with servers and staff about all issues and requests
Communicate all 86'd items to staff and management
Offer assistance to coworkers including welcoming guests, running food and maintaining the dining room
Greet guests promptly as they are seated and bring bread service if applicable
Remove used tableware between courses and package food requested to take away
Clear tables after guests leave and transport tableware to the dish room
Clean table tops, chairs and booths between seating and check floor cleaning
Remove trash and recycling throughout the shift
Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service
Assist in polishing and restocking tableware especially during large parties and peak periods
Fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operation
Prepare and serve coffee and teas if assigned as Barista
Assist in daily cleaning of the restaurant before and after service
