The Lead Bartender position at Terra Mae offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional passionate about mixology and leadership. This full-time role, reporting directly to the Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef, places the successful candidate at the helm of the bar program across Terra Mae and other Food & Beverage outlets within Cascada. The Lead Bartender will take charge of all bar operations, including creative menu development, inventory management, team supervision, and ensuring that each guest receives personalized and memorable service. The role demands a visionary individual capable of cultivating a high-standard service culture while maintaining consistency, quality, and innovation in beverage preparation.
In this leadership capacity, the Lead Bartender is responsible for mentoring the bar team and collaborating closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless communication and smooth service flow. Key responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, expertly crafting cocktails that complement the unique Portuguese-Japanese fusion menu, managing costs and inventory with precision, and maintaining an inviting and tidy atmosphere. Job Requirements
- Experience in bartending or beverage service
- Valid food handlers certification
- Valid alcohol service certification
- Previous work in a restaurant or bar setting
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage and lead a team

Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant bar or upscale dining environment required
- Must hold an active Food Handlers and Alcohol Certification

Job Duties
- Warmly greet and welcome guests ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- Acquire a deep understanding of food and drink menu including ingredients preparation techniques and cultural background to provide informed recommendations
- Collaborate with the bar team to design cocktails complementing the Portuguese Japanese fusion menu
- Prepare and serve craft cocktails wine and other beverages maintaining precision and creativity
- Monitor pour costs minimize waste and manage inventory with high precision
- Accurately take and input food and beverage orders ensuring timeliness and attention to detail
- Serve food and beverages showcasing quality and artistry
- Manage relationships with vendors and ensure bar is fully stocked
- Keep dining area and bar tidy refilling drinks and clearing dishes
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and communication
- Suggest menu items pairings and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Accurately handle payments issue receipts and ensure seamless checkout
- Educate service team on spirits wine pairings and the story behind every drink
- Maintain a calm commanding presence during high-volume shifts to lead the team
