The Terminal Operator role at Quikrete's Durham facility is crucial to the effective management of product receipt, storage, and shipment. This position involves coordinating logistics with internal teams, customers, and transportation partners to ensure accurate and timely loading, dispatch, and handling of materials. The operator is responsible for overseeing rail and truck receiving, maintaining inventory accuracy, and operating mobile equipment safely and efficiently. Preventive maintenance and equipment repairs form a key part of the daily responsibilities, ensuring minimal downtime and uninterrupted operations. The position demands strong organizational skills and communication abilities to report any terminal issues promptly to management and to collaborate effectively on quality assurance through product sampling and issue resolution. Job Duties

  • Coordinate rail and truck receiving, loading, and dispatch, maintaining accurate inventory records
  • mobile equipment operation
  • perform maintenance on equipment
  • ensure the terminal runs efficiently and in compliance with safety regulation
  • responsible for all terminal maintenance and preventive maintenance to ensure no breakdowns
  • communicate any issues with Terminal Manager or Operations Manager
  • collect product samples for quality assurance and report supply or quality issues
