Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of general labor experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of company processes and procedures
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Able to prioritize work
  • Valid driver's license
  • Adhere to safety protocols and proper use of PPE including respirators
  • Maintain clean shaven face where respirator seal meets face for fit tests

Job Duties

  • Perform maintenance, operate plant equipment, and housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain plant sites, buildings, grounds, and equipment at the plant or job site
  • Operate plant processing equipment, maintain product quality and production output
  • Provide preventative maintenance service for plant equipment
  • Conduct plant equipment repairs under supervision
  • Perform daily inspections of plant equipment and grounds to ensure a safe work environment
  • Follow all safety, compliance, and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards
  • Clean under and around the operating plant using hand tools and small mobile equipment
  • Perform scheduled maintenance activities on time, assist with major repairs and breakdowns, coordinate work priorities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced laborers, may train new employees
  • Climb ladders, lift occasionally up to 50lbs, work in dusty, hot or cold environments
  • Communicate and adhere to health, safety and environmental policies
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit safety behaviors
