Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must successfully pass Benihana chef training program
- Ability to engage guests positively
- Prior experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work shifts including nights and weekends

Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order
- Perform cooking shows for assigned tables ensuring appropriate and courteous guest interaction
- Provide guests with information about Benihana foods during cooking or upon inquiry
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
- Ask guests for cooking preferences and follow instructions
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other items using kitchen equipment
- Perform shift opening and closing duties including cleaning refrigeration units, gaskets, chef carts, and floors
- Maintain kitchen, teppan cooking areas, and kitchen equipment clean, sanitary, and organized
- Prepare foods according to company portion standards and recipe specifications
- Handle, store, label, and rotate foods following safety and health laws
- Use kitchen tools to portion, cut, and prepare food
- Adhere to guidelines on food presentation and garnishes
- Adhere to guidelines on alcoholic beverage service
- Notify manager on duty of guest dissatisfaction or accidents
- Participate in guest special occasion celebrations
- Perform other assigned duties by supervisors
