Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program
  • Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order
  • Perform cooking shows for assigned tables ensuring appropriate and courteous interaction with guests
  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, teppan cooking areas, and equipment
  • Prepare foods according to company portion standards and recipe specifications
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries
  • Participate in shift opening and closing duties as assigned by the manager
