This coordinator will act as the primary representative of Heinz Chapel during weddings and other events. Responsibilities include managing communications with wedding couples in the weeks prior to their big day, collaborating closely with officiants during rehearsals, and overseeing smooth coordination throughout ceremonies. The coordinator ensures all vendors, such as photographers and videographers, adhere to the chapel's guidelines and timing. Additionally, the role demands stewardship of the chapel building, including securing access via keys and badges and opening or closing the facility as needed.\n\nThis position offers a dynamic work environment where the coordinator will also develop a technical understanding of the chapel's audio, lighting, and recorded organ systems. Flexibility is crucial as weekend and evening hours are a regular part of the schedule, with the incumbent typically expected to work about two weekends per month. The position begins at a pay rate of $20 per hour, with an opportunity for an increase to $21.50 after the first three months of training.
