Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in food service or food preparation
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- ability to handle money and operate a POS system
- ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
- attendance at job-related training sessions required

- prior experience in food preparation or food service desirable
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- experience with POS systems a plus
- strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties
- Prepares and assists in serving of food according to standards related to sanitary conditions
- uses all cooking equipment correctly
- uses correct recipes and serving sizes
- makes certain service is done in a professional and efficient manner
- uses objective and subjective indicators to evaluate food quality
- follows standards to check temperature of food and equipment
- follows meal pattern requirements in serving student meals
- follows standards of safety in preparing, storing, and serving food
- receives and stores deliveries, ensuring products are labeled, dated, and rotated using FIFO method
- places all grocery, paper, milk, produce, bread, and miscellaneous orders with support of supervisor
- maintain personal habits to meet sanitation standards
- accept payment and make change
- operates POS system for students and adults
- completes inventory of food and supplies when necessary
- attends job-related training classes and workshops
- preparing daily bank deposit for pick up by courier or operations supervisor
- any other jobs as assigned
