The Springs at Greer Gardens is currently seeking a Temporary Housekeeper who brings a balance of personal warmth and technical skill to our team. This role is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Employment for this position is expected to continue through approximately July 22, 2026, with immediate hiring. The Temporary Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of resident apartments, common areas, and offices, executing both regular and deep cleaning tasks to the highest standards. Beyond cleaning duties, the role requires building genuine relationships with residents, understanding their needs, and contributing positively to their daily experience. We believe that fostering these relationships contributes significantly to the quality of life within our community.

This position demands physical stamina and dexterity, involving activities such as lifting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and reaching. Candidates must be capable of maintaining these physical activities to meet the job’s rigorous demands. In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will demonstrate courtesy, professionalism, and effective communication when interacting with residents, their families, employees, potential residents, and community visitors. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk throughout most of the workday
  • Ability to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, and reach
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to work with fingers and handle items
  • Ability to perform light to heavy physical activity involving both non-strenuous and strenuous daily tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to build positive relationships with seniors
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to meet job demands
  • Detail-oriented and organized

Job Duties

  • Engaging and getting to know residents to build relationships
  • Courteous and professional interactions with residents, families, employees, potential residents/families and visitors
  • Weekly cleaning of resident apartments, common areas, and offices according to schedule
  • Deep cleaning of resident apartments and common areas as scheduled
  • Maintaining housekeeping carts and closets in a neat and organized manner
  • Promptly reporting any concerns about safe and proper functioning of equipment to supervisor
