The restaurant offers a wide range of dining options, including three full meals daily, in-room dining, a mini bar, and the seasonal Magdalena Pool Bar, which welcomes visitors seeking a sunny, relaxed atmosphere enlivened by exceptional culinary experiences. Known for its honest approach to cooking and old-school hospitality mixed with modern unpretentiousness, Summer on Music Lane provides guests with an inviting environment to enjoy quality meals and drinks throughout their stay. Hotel Magdalena is part of a reputed hospitality network that prioritizes high service standards, guest satisfaction, and a warm, welcoming environment.
The role of Food & Beverage Manager at Summer on Music Lane is a crucial leadership position focused on overseeing the entire breadth of food and beverage operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. The manager will be responsible for supervising front-of-house teams, including scheduling staff, training, coaching, and managing performance to maintain high levels of service and quality. This includes managing the three-meal restaurant, in-room dining services, mini bar, and seasonal pool bar operations. This role requires close collaboration with the culinary team, event operations, and hotel leadership to ensure seamless dining and event experiences that align with the hotel’s overall mission and service promise.
In addition to team leadership, the Food & Beverage Manager will handle essential financial responsibilities including labor cost control, inventory management, and ordering, while implementing cost-saving initiatives. An important part of the role also involves driving marketing and promotional efforts to enhance the visibility and guest engagement of the restaurant and bars, thereby increasing revenue. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on leadership skills combined with a passion for hospitality and team development, thriving in a fast-paced environment that demands a proactive and solution-oriented approach. Emphasizing safety, quality standards, and guest satisfaction, the manager will ensure that all employees strictly adhere to policies, operational guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
This is a temporary position lasting 8 weeks, starting July 14th, offering a unique opportunity to work in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying seasonal conditions. Flexibility to work during peak periods, evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential. Summer on Music Lane and Hotel Magdalena provide an exceptional work culture with comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan with company match, free room nights, discounted room rates within the Hyatt network, paid time off, wellbeing initiatives including complimentary Headspace, and retail discounts from major providers. This role offers a chance to be part of a passionate team delivering memorable food and beverage experiences, while advancing your career in a prestigious hospitality setting committed to diversity and equal opportunity.
