The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant In Room Dining Manager to join its Food & Beverage - Services department on a fixed term contract basis. This role is a vital part of the reopening phase of the hotel's Food & Beverage Division. The Assistant In Room Dining Manager is responsible for supporting the In Room Dining Manager by overseeing the daily operations of the In Room Dining, Minibar, and Cashier departments. This management position demands thorough attention to quality and service standards, ensuring that every guest interaction is seamless and meets the hotel’s ultra-luxury standards. The successful candidate will play a supervisory role, managing staff performance, providing feedback, addressing disciplinary issues, and ensuring compliance with regulations such as state liquor laws. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or equivalent
- Minimum three years of experience in ultra-luxury hospitality operations
- At least one year of experience specifically in In Room Dining department
- Ability to manage multiple departments including In Room Dining, Minibar, and Cashier
- Knowledge of state liquor laws and regulations
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or equivalent
- Three years in ultra-luxury operations with at least one year in In Room Dining capacity preferably in a union environment
- Thorough knowledge of food, beverage and 5 star (Forbes) standards
- Strong command of spoken and written English with fluency in other languages preferred
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills with positive attitude and ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Job Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations ensuring quality and customer expectations
- Exhibit knowledge and adhere to state liquor regulations
- Provide feedback on staff performance to Manager
- Report disciplinary problems to Manager and participate in employee counseling
- Monitor staff performance in all phases of service and job functions
- Rectify deficiencies with respective personnel
- Supervise the daily operation of In Room Dining, Minibar, and Cashier departments
