Mason is currently seeking a motivated Assembly Associate II for a temporary position in their Controls division. This role reports directly to the Production Manager and is classified as non-exempt under the FLSA. The Assembly Associate II plays a vital role within the production process by assembling products according to specifications, blueprints, and work instructions. The position involves working closely with a team of assemblers to ensure production requirements are met efficiently and accurately.

The Assembly Associate II is responsible for a variety of tasks, including assembling connectors, setting up and operating wire marking machines, and positioning parts according to blueprints and standard work instructions. Precision is critical as the associate will use tools such as soldering irons and welding equipment to assemble final units. The role also involves quality assurance activities, such as verifying the correctness of assembled units and performing tests using related test fixtures. This position demands high dexterity, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Working conditions include a well-lit, temperature-controlled environment where multiple workstations operate simultaneously. Physical demands require standing, walking, sitting, stooping, lifting, pulling, pushing, and other motions necessary to perform assembly tasks reliably. Effective communication skills in English are required to maintain coordination within the team and follow instructions precisely.

The compensation for this temporary role ranges from $19.00 to $24.00 per hour, reflecting the specialized skills necessary for high-quality assembly in a complex manufacturing environment. Furthermore, eligibility to work in the U.S. is required, alongside compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which restrict the handling of sensitive technical information to authorized individuals.
