We are currently hiring a Technology Support Specialist (Onsite) to join our vibrant team at the Houston facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless client experiences during technology showcases, demos, and events held at the center. The ideal candidate will act as a "Swiss army knife" professional, adept at troubleshooting a wide array of hardware and software issues in real-time and providing expert hands-on support across diverse technology platforms. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients from various industries. As the primary onsite technical support resource, the Technology Support Specialist will be responsible for setting up technology booths, configuring devices, resolving technical problems promptly, and supporting live presentations with audiovisual equipment.
In this position, you will work closely with clients to understand their technology needs, ensuring that every demonstration runs smoothly and professionally. You will troubleshoot issues related to consumer electronics, IoT devices, AV systems, networking, and smart appliances. - Experience in event support, trade shows, or technology showcase environments
- Familiarity with AV systems, networking fundamentals, and device integration
- Prior experience supporting consumer technology or enterprise client demos
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary onsite technical support resource for clients setting up booths, stalls, and events showcasing the latest technologies
- Provide hands-on support for a wide range of devices and systems, from 3D printers to smart appliances to AV equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues quickly and effectively to ensure seamless client experiences
- Assist with setup, configuration, and integration of technology for client demonstrations and events
- Support presentations and live demos by proactively addressing AV and technical challenges
- Collaborate closely with clients, ensuring their technology needs are addressed with professionalism, patience, and efficiency
- Act as a trusted partner and subject-matter expert, representing the Microsoft Technology Center with exceptional customer service
