This Warehouse and CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) Materials Handler role is vital to Breezeline's operational efficiency. It offers a regular, full-time position located in Columbus, Ohio, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the company’s warehouse and coordinating closely with CPE processes. This role requires meticulous inventory management, material conveyance, and equipment inspection, including the repair and testing of converters. The incumbent will prepare inventory cycle counts on a regular basis and maintain secure and accurate inventory records by using modern inventory control and data entry software. Practical forklift experience and the ability to drive company vehicles to transport supplies are also part of the responsibilities. This position involves working in conditions that may occasionally expose employees to outdoor weather, mechanical parts, and moving inventory, demanding energy, physical stamina, and attention to safety protocols.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
  • Proficiency in inventory control software and spreadsheet software
  • Experience with handheld scanners
  • Forklift experience

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
  • Proficiency in Workday, Quickbooks, Oracle, and other inventory control software
  • Knowledge of database software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software
  • Experience using handheld scanners and entering data from scanners into spreadsheets and word documents
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Forklift experience

Job Duties

  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Repair, test and inspect all converters entering the department
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
  • Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly and annual inventory cycle counts
  • Sort and place inventory/equipment on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line
  • Maintain inventory in a secured place within the warehouse and adhere to inventory control procedures to assure safe storage and accurate counts
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
  • Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
  • Use computer to enter records
  • Drive vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or pick up items from several locations for shipment
  • Prepare parcels for mailing
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Operate forklift
