This particular opportunity is for a Mechanical Service Technician within the Dental Service team at Patterson. This role offers motivated individuals with strong mechanical aptitude a chance to develop their skills by installing and repairing an array of dental equipment, including computer-related devices. The Service Technician position involves hands-on learning and mentorship through Patterson's Technology Academy, providing comprehensive training and ongoing development. The role emphasizes safety, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to manufacturer standards and industry regulations such as OSHA. The technician will operate independently after training, performing duties such as equipment installation, repair, inventory management, and customer service. This role requires maintaining a high level of professionalism in communication, troubleshooting, and customer interaction, all aligning with Patterson's people-first philosophy. Employees in this position must be capable of managing the physical demands of the job, including lifting dental supplies and equipment and traveling extensively within a designated local geographic area to service clients.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- mechanical aptitude required
- strong work ethic and takes ownership of company and customers goals/objectives
- focused on understanding, meeting, and exceeding customer expectations
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- basic computer skills and/or ability to use smartphone/tablet
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- valid driver’s license along with good driving record

Job Duties
- Safely remove, modify, repair, and install various dental equipment under general supervision with the ability to work independently after training
- follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined
- demonstrate knowledge on installation procedures and jobsite protocol
- apply specific manufacturer and Patterson guidelines, OSHA and other applicable laws and regulations related to asepsis
- perform other duties as assigned
- support customer needs through timely and professional responses
- build and maintain customer relationships through follow-up and courteous interactions
