As a part of Nestlé, you join a dynamic and inclusive workspace that promotes innovation, creativity, and continuous personal and professional growth. Nestlé is committed to creating a collaborative and supportive environment where employees are encouraged to challenge conventional ways, explore new ideas, and take risks with the goal of delivering exceptional products to consumers. With a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and equality, Nestlé also supports veterans, people with disabilities, and values a culture of engagement and innovation. The company emphasizes safety, responsibility, and engagement through comprehensive training and maintaining high standards in all operations.

The Electromechanical Technician role at Nestlé is a critical position responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process control systems associated with food production and packaging equipment. This role involves proactive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime and optimize equipment performance and reliability at the Nestlé Cleveland factory. The technician works closely under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor or Shift Manager but is expected to be self-directed with minimal supervision. This position requires hands-on skill in servicing and repairing equipment including electrical motors, variable frequency drives, pneumatic cylinders, mechanical assemblies, and process control instrumentation.

The technician will handle a broad range of equipment such as liquid food processing systems, packaging lines, conveyors, high-speed fillers and labelers, palletizers, and robotic systems. The role demands knowledge of electrical schematics, process diagrams, and preventive maintenance schedules executed through systems like SAP and Prometheus. The technician will also engage in predictive maintenance practices using vibration analysis, oil analysis, and advanced monitoring tools to diagnose issues before they impact production.

This position offers a competitive pay rate starting at $35.67 per hour plus shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The schedule is Monday to Friday with available shifts from 2pm to 10:30pm and 10pm to 6:30am. The company provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage starting after 30 days, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, and various other incentives like attendance bonuses and pet adoption assistance. Nestlé is dedicated to employee welfare and continuous learning and development to empower its workforce to contribute effectively to operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma or GED with preferred technical training in industrial maintenance, electromechanical maintenance, or robotics. Industrial maintenance experience, particularly in manufacturing or food production environments, is highly desirable. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, be capable of working independently, and demonstrate expertise in electrical and mechanical systems including PLC systems, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and industrial motors. They must also be proficient with diagnostic instruments such as multimeters and oscilloscopes and familiar with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Communication skills, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset are essential. The technician must adhere to strict safety protocols such as OSHA and GMP requirements while performing their duties.

Overall, this position offers a rewarding career opportunity with a reputable company committed to its employees’ growth, diversity, inclusion, and safety, contributing to the success of one of the largest food and beverage manufacturers in the United States.
