As a Technician III at Main Event, you will play a vital role in maintaining the fun and safety of the facility. This position involves a deep understanding of the mechanics and operations of various entertainment options, including automated bowling equipment, arcade games, and other amusement devices. Your responsibility extends beyond regular maintenance to include troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components to keep all equipment performing optimally. You will be essential in supporting the upkeep of the center’s equipment, building systems, and ensuring the facility meets high standards of safety and cleanliness.

This role requires hands-on technical skills as well as an engaging personality since technicians also interact with guests and serve as ambassadors of fun at the venue. You will uphold cleanliness and safety protocols rigorously, ensuring that the environment remains safe and sanitary for everyone. Additionally, your duties will involve maintaining organized and accurate inventory records, ordering necessary tools and materials, and keeping the mechanic shop and facility orderly. In the absence of the Technical Services Manager, you will assume responsibility for maintaining business operations, showcasing leadership and reliability.

Job Duties

  • uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • welcome and engage with all guests while being a fun ambassador
  • perform electrical, mechanical, and technical work related to construction, repairs, preventive, and scheduled maintenance
  • troubleshoot repairs on games, tellers, pinsetters, and other equipment
  • disassemble, replace, and repair mechanical and electrical components or parts such as bearings, coils, armatures, and wiring
  • maintain accurate inventory records
  • order supplies, tools, and materials as needed
  • maintain the organization and cleanliness of the mechanic shop and facility
  • maintain the business in the absence of the Technical Services Manager
  • participate in paid on-the-job training
