The role of a Technician III at Main Event Entertainment is pivotal in maintaining the fun and entertainment standards that the company is known for. This position involves a hands-on approach to the mechanical and operational aspects of the center’s games and entertainment systems. The Technician III is responsible for a wide range of technical tasks including the repair and maintenance of automated bowling equipment and arcade games. They also ensure the overall safety and sanitation standards of the facility are met. This role requires an individual who is not only skilled in electronics, mechanics, and hydraulics but also possesses strong problem-solving abilities and a guest-focused mindset.

The Technician III works closely with the Technical Services Manager and other team members to keep all equipment functioning smoothly. This includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and managing inventory and supplies for repairs. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities such as disassembling and replacing components, maintaining the mechanic shop, and stepping in to manage the business in the absence of the Technical Services Manager. Paid on-the-job training is provided, reflecting the company’s investment in employee growth.

Job Requirements

  • 18 plus years of age
  • 2 plus years of general knowledge and skill set in repair and maintenance of automated bowling equipment and arcade games

  • Ability to learn and utilize multiple systems
  • Skilled in practical application of electronics, mechanics, and hydraulics
  • Basic working knowledge of hand tools

  • Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations and safety practices
  • Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment
  • Effective communication with management, team members, and guests

Job Duties

  • Upholding cleanliness and safety standards
  • Welcome and engage with all guests
  • Performing electrical, mechanical, and technical work related to construction, repairs, preventive, and scheduled maintenance
  • Troubleshooting repairs on games, tellers, pinsetters
  • Disassembling, replacing, and repairing mechanical and electrical components
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Ordering supplies, tools, and materials as needed
  • Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the mechanic shop and facility
  • Maintaining the business in the absence of the Technical Services Manager
  • Participating in paid on-the-job training
