The Technical Product Specialist plays an essential role in ensuring that tooling released to production meets customer requirements, supporting tooling performance checks, and troubleshooting product application issues. The role requires a deep technical understanding of cutting tool geometry, tool applications, and knowledge of cutting tool manufacturers. Experience in the aerospace market and multi-axis machine tool programming are advantageous. The specialist must excel in data analysis, possess strong mathematical skills, and be proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Effective communication and leadership skills are crucial to drive results in this role. The position demands the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and the capability to interpret complex prints and models.

- Greater than 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry that uses cutting tools and abrasives
- At least 5 years of machining experience
- Must have strong technical knowledge of cutting tools and cutting tool applications

Job Duties
- Ensure all tooling released to production meets customer’s requirements
- Routine, basic inspection of tooling
- Assist with tooling performance checks
- Work with engineers to determine tooling needs
- Troubleshoot issues relating to product application
- Provide application support of new products
- Improve existing processes and applications by reviewing objectives and specifications
- Recommend changes and make modifications to tooling, applications and processes of machining as needed
- Support the reconditioning program
- Facilitate manufacturer visits and the introduction of their products to the customer
- Facilitate corrective action program
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
