Grifols is a leading global healthcare company with a rich history dating back to 1909. Operating in over 110 countries and regions, the company develops, produces, and markets innovative medicines, solutions, and services. The company’s global reach and diverse portfolio make it a prominent player in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors, fostering innovation and excellence in improving patient outcomes around the world.

This role is a hybrid position based in Vista, California, blending in-office presence with remote work flexibility. The Technical Liaison Manager - Diagnostic Materials will work within the Bio Supplies group, which operates a plasma processing facility providing critical biological materials used in transfusion medicine and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) applications. These materials are essential for diagnostic companies developing controls, calibrators, and assays. The role is pivotal in bridging communication and technical coordination between Bio Supplies and internal diagnostic business units. Acting as the primary technical interface, this position ensures that diagnostic raw material requirements are clearly defined, technically feasible, and aligned with operational capabilities across manufacturing, product development, and supply chain teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the IVD or diagnostics industry, with strong skills in translating scientific assay development needs into detailed material specifications. Responsibilities include managing collaboration with diagnostic R&D, assay development, and program leadership teams; coordinating material requests for both reactive and non-reactive plasma-derived materials; supporting multiple internal diagnostic programs; and driving innovation by proposing new processes and improvements beyond routine manufacturing practices.

Further, the Technical Liaison Manager will provide technical guidance on the suitability and limitations of plasma-derived materials for specific diagnostic applications, facilitating the transfer of material requirements into manufacturable specifications. The role supports development programs by maintaining visibility into timelines and milestones, consolidating material forecasts, and coordinating with supply chain and demand planning teams to manage material availability and risks.

This position offers a salary range of $88,750 to $133,170, with eligibility for up to 8% of the company bonus pool. Grifols offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, a 5% 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement. The company emphasizes diversity and inclusion and complies with all applicable employment laws. Joining Grifols means becoming part of a forward-thinking healthcare company invested in innovation, collaboration, and positively impacting millions of lives through advanced diagnostic and therapeutic solutions.
