Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree required
  • Two or more years of customer service experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in customer service or technology support with older adults preferred
  • Strong understanding and comfort with technology use
  • Proficiency with common devices, operating systems, and software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to convey technical information simply
  • Patience and empathy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied hours

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree preferably in technology-related or business field
  • Minimum two years of customer service experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with older adults in customer or technology support ideal
  • Proficiency with personal devices, operating systems, and software applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical information simply
  • Patience and empathy when assisting individuals with varying tech skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility to work varied hours based on resident needs and community events

Job Duties

  • Provide one-on-one technology support to residents including smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs, and personal devices
  • Assist residents with setting up and troubleshooting email accounts, video calls, and social media platforms
  • Develop and conduct small group training sessions on various technology topics based on residents' interests and needs
  • Create user-friendly guides and documentation to assist residents with tech challenges
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure devices have updated software and security features
  • Assist residents with app installations and updates
  • Work with other departments to integrate technology into guest services and amenities like smart room features
  • Organize and facilitate tech-related events and workshops within the community to foster shared learning
  • Stay updated with latest technology trends and incorporate into resident activities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing residents' tech-related concerns promptly
  • Maintain a positive and approachable demeanor fostering a comfortable learning environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
