Job Description

This job opportunity is with a reputable restaurant known for its commitment to delivering quality service and products to its guests. As a team-oriented establishment, the restaurant focuses on operational excellence and customer satisfaction. It thrives on the efficiency and dedication of its crew members who contribute to the overall smooth functioning of daily operations. The company provides an engaging work environment where employees are valued and encouraged to develop their skills in the food service industry. The employment type for this position is nonexempt, commonly aligning with hourly wage structures and accommodating various shift schedules, including irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays to support the restaurant's operational demands.

The role of Team/Crew Member is a key position within the restaurant's operational team, reporting directly to the Manager on Duty (MOD). This position involves performing a range of basic operational duties essential to maintaining the high standards expected by both the company and its guests. Crew members are tasked with ensuring quality products and services, which entails becoming proficient in various station duties such as handling fountain and frozen beverages, managing dressers, front and back swamp stations, grill operations, switchboard management, expediting orders, food preparation, and operating the drive-thru if applicable.

In addition to station-specific tasks, crew members are responsible for adhering strictly to all company policies, procedures, and operational standards. This includes regular cleaning and sanitation tasks vital for maintaining hygiene and safety within the restaurant environment. Duties encompass trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food prep tools, wiping down counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and managing grease disposal. Consistent attendance is emphasized as critical to the team's success, ensuring reliability and support during operational hours.

Crew members must be adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed. This could involve reporting any customer or employee complaints or issues to the Manager on Duty, moving and stocking food products weighing up to 50 pounds, and performing other job-related duties as assigned. The dynamic nature of the work requires flexibility and a willingness to work hard in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

The work environment involves continuous physical activity, including standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting, often within varying temperature conditions. Employees will frequently encounter heat from cooking areas as well as cold conditions when stocking food items in freezers. This role demands both physical endurance and attention to detail to maintain operational efficiency and safety standards throughout the restaurant.
