Job Description
The company seeking to fill the Team/Crew Member position is part of the fast food or quick-service restaurant industry, specializing in providing quick, quality food and excellent customer service to its guests. As a well-established brand in the restaurant sector, it operates multiple stations within its location, including fountain and frozen drinks, food preparation, drive-thru service, and grill operations. The company values adherence to operational standards, cleanliness, and teamwork to ensure a smooth and satisfying guest experience. This role offers an opportunity for those interested in the restaurant industry to join a dynamic team and engage in a variety of duties that contribute directly to customer satisfaction and the operational success of the establishment.
The Team/Crew Member position is an entry-level role designed to perform essential operational tasks that support day-to-day restaurant functions. This nonexempt position reports directly to the Manager on Duty (MOD) who oversees the floor operations during shifts. The role requires versatility and the ability to perform multiple station duties, such as working at the grill, handling front or back swamp stations, managing the drive-thru window, or providing salad and dessert preparation, according to business needs. Employees will be responsible for consistently following company policies and operational standards to ensure the delivery of quality products and service.
In addition to food preparation and cooking responsibilities, the Team/Crew Member is expected to maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation in all food and work areas. This includes routine tasks such as mopping, sweeping, washing dishes, sanitizing equipment, disposing of trash, and cleaning food prep surfaces. The position also calls for physical stamina to handle frequent standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and coping with exposure to heat and freezer environments typical in restaurant settings.
Effective communication and multitasking skills are critical for this role, as Team/Crew Members must be able to follow directions, handle customer inquiries appropriately by reporting issues to management, and work collaboratively within their team. The role demands flexibility in working hours, including irregular shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays. This flexibility is crucial for maintaining staffing levels during peak business times.
Overall, the Team/Crew Member role offers a comprehensive introduction to the hospitality and restaurant field, providing hands-on experience in customer service, food safety, and operational efficiency. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance a career in the fast-paced restaurant industry while contributing to a team-oriented environment focused on guest satisfaction and quality standards.
