The Team/Crew Leader position is a crucial supervisory role reporting directly to the Manager on Duty (MOD). This nonexempt position is designed for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about leading operational teams to success. The Team/Crew Leader is responsible for performing, leading, and overseeing a variety of station duties such as fountain and frozen stations, dresser, front and back swamp, grill, switchboard, expeditor, food preparation, and drive-thru when applicable. The leader ensures that all tasks meet or exceed company operational standards, maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized work area to comply with health and safety regulations.

In addition to day-to-day operations, the Team/Crew Leader assists with the orientation and training of new employees, helping them acclimate to the company’s methods and standards. This position demands strong communication and leadership skills to effectively conduct shift meetings, resolve conflicts, and report any customer or employee issues to the MOD promptly. The role requires multitasking abilities, decision-making prowess, and a proactive approach to maintaining operational excellence.

Employees in this position should expect irregular hours with shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, working a minimum of 30 hours per week to meet the demands of the business. Physical stamina is essential as the role involves continuous standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. There is also frequent exposure to heat, hot liquids, and freezer conditions, reflecting the realities of working in a restaurant environment.
