The role of Team Member in the Operations department, reporting directly to the General Manager, is vital to maintaining the high standards of service and customer experience at Applegreen's travel plazas. This is a non-exempt position, ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, customer-oriented environments. Seasonal Associates are particularly sought after during peak periods, typically from April 1st through September 30th, as they play a critical role in managing increased business activity during these busy months.

As a Team Member, your primary responsibility will be to provide passionate hospitality to travelers, ensuring that each guest’s experience is positive and memorable. This involves a variety of tasks including thorough cleaning and stocking to maintain a neat and welcoming environment, efficient and accurate processing of payment transactions, and preparing and serving quality food items across multiple brand concepts within the plaza. You will be expected to handle food safely by following proper procedures such as wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and temperature checking of products. Kitchen-related duties include prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning, all performed with adherence to brand safety standards.

Customer interaction is a significant part of the role, and Team Members are expected to consistently engage with customers in a friendly and helpful manner. They should actively promote products by cross-selling and up-selling where appropriate and maintain a strong knowledge of the diverse product and service offerings available throughout the plaza. The role also demands adherence to all company policies and brand standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and operational procedures.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive interactions with customers
  • Operate point-of-sale system and process payments accurately
