The role at Chuze Fitness is designed for enthusiastic and people-oriented individuals who are eager to be at the center of hospitality operations. This position is hourly with a pay range between $15.70 and $16.87, depending on experience. Working in this role means becoming a vital part of the member experience, where everyone you interact with feels welcomed and valued. Your responsibilities will mix active engagement with members alongside essential operational duties. You will be greeting members and guests with warmth, running tours for prospective members, handling membership sign-ups, and managing phone inquiries with proficient phone etiquette. Maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the gym environment sparkles will also be part of your daily routine.

Moreover, you will support members by assisting with billing questions and concerns, escalating issues to leadership as necessary. Another important aspect of the role includes staying current on the latest training materials and club updates through the Learning Management System (LMS). Knowledge of amenities, fitness programs, and facility equipment will empower you to guide members effectively. At locations with smoothie bars, making and serving drinks according to customer specifications brings an additional level of customer service magic. Job Requirements

  • Able to read, write, and speak clearly in English
  • Ability to walk and climb stairs regularly
  • Capable of bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive arm movements
  • Able to stand for long periods during shifts
  • Proficient in basic computer operations
  • Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a friendly and positive attitude
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Previous experience in a fitness or hospitality environment is a plus
  • Ability to learn and apply training materials effectively

Job Duties

  • Welcome, greet, and interact with all members, prospective members, and guests
  • Provide membership information and facilitate tours
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks and ensure gym presentation is always extraordinarily clean
  • Membership sign-ups, answering phones, point-of-sale transactions, and addressing member concerns
  • Assist with billing issues and disputes and escalate to leadership when needed
  • Regularly review and complete all training materials and updates in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Maintain knowledge and assist members with all amenities, membership offerings, fitness programs, and equipment functions
  • Make and serve smoothies, if applicable, ensuring they meet customer specifications and maintaining quality standards
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled team meetings
