Job Description

This job opportunity is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee of Del Taco, a fast-food restaurant chain known for its Mexican-inspired menu. The independent franchisee manages this particular location and is solely responsible for all employment-related decisions including hiring, firing, wages, staffing, and scheduling. This means if you are hired, your employer will be the franchisee and not the parent company, Del Taco LLC. As a part of a fast-paced and customer-focused restaurant environment, you will have the chance to contribute directly to creating exceptional guest experiences and be part of a team that thrives on enthusiasm and dedication.

The restaurant seeks motivated Team Members who are committed to delivering outstanding service and maintaining high standards in all facets of their work. As a Team Member, you will help foster a positive and rewarding work culture where every interaction with guests reflects the company’s core values of quality, friendliness, and cleanliness. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring operational success through attention to detail, adherence to safety, and product quality standards.

This position emphasizes the importance of excellent guest service and maintaining a clean, safe environment. You will be trained to fully understand the menu offerings so that you can confidently explain items to customers, enhancing their dining experience. Utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) system, you will efficiently take orders, process payments, and provide accurate receipts, supporting a smooth transaction process.

In addition to frontline guest interaction, this role requires compliance with food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols to uphold health regulations. An energetic and cheerful demeanor is essential as you will be interacting with guests frequently, representing the restaurant at every touchpoint. Maintaining professional grooming standards and contributing to cleanliness by assisting with restaurant maintenance will be part of your daily responsibilities.

Working in this role demands strong multitasking skills, the ability to follow company policies, and excellent organizational capabilities. You will work closely with fellow team members, department managers, and partners to create a cooperative and supportive team environment. Effective communication skills and a commitment to the position are necessary to perform effectively and grow within the restaurant setting.

Physical stamina is also crucial, as the job involves standing and walking throughout your shift, lifting items up to 50 pounds, as well as bending and reaching as needed. Job Requirements

  • ability to travel to assigned restaurant location
  • must be at least 16 years of age
  • food handler certification may be required
  • ability to stand and walk for approximately 95-100% of shift
  • ability to bend, reach, lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds
  • commitment to perform duties proficiently with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties
