Employees in this role are expected to handle various tasks such as transporting food items from storage to preparation areas, assembling sandwiches with condiments according to specific orders, frying items like French fries and chicken tenders with precision, and ensuring that all food prepared meets the brand's standards. The Team Member also assists in expediting orders, which involves assembling customer meals accurately and efficiently, and serving shakes with proper presentation.
Attention to detail in food handling and maintaining the quality and safety of all prepared foods is a critical aspect of this role. Team members monitor holding times of cooked and prepared foods to ensure freshness and compliance with health standards, discarding items that have exceeded their hold time. The job also involves engaging in cleaning and sanitation duties to keep the kitchen and equipment spotless, including washing trays, pans, racks, wiping surfaces, and mopping floors, especially during slower periods. Those assigned as closers take on additional responsibilities such as turning off and dismantling cooking equipment, sanitizing surfaces with approved solutions, cleaning exhaust hoods and ventilators, filtering and discarding cooking oil properly, and performing deep cleaning tasks to uphold hygiene standards.

- listens to orders to determine sandwich types
- applies condiments and assembles sandwiches
- wraps and marks finished sandwiches
- checks and maintains cooking oil
- prepares fryer baskets and cooks food items
- transports food from storage to work stations
- toasts buns and prepares specialty sandwiches
- heats dessert pies and sandwiches
