The Distribution Team Member II plays a vital role in the company's distribution operations. The person in this position is primarily responsible for loading and unloading goods, ensuring that the processes follow procedures designed for safety and quality. The member will handle staging orders, checking products for loading accuracy, and operating material handling equipment such as fork trucks with professionalism and safety. A key aspect of the role includes maintaining detailed daily distribution records such as load sheets, receiving logs, and damaged product reports to support accountability and traceability. Daily sanitation tasks must be completed regularly to maintain hygiene standards, including the upkeep of trailers used in the distribution process.

Effective communication is essential for this role, requiring interaction with shift leaders to discuss safety concerns, product stock levels, and quality issues, as well as collaborating with other departments to confirm the correct products are picked and loaded. Additionally, the role involves assisting customers with will-call pick-ups, further emphasizing the importance of customer service in this operational capacity. Compliance with overarching safety, sanitation, and hazard analysis policies such as PJFS Safety, Sanitation, and HACCP programs, alongside pertinent federal, state, and local regulations, is critical to uphold the operational excellence and legal compliance of the company. Overall, the Distribution Team Member II is critical in maintaining the operational flow, ensuring orders are accurately and safely prepared for distribution, and supporting a clean, compliant, and customer-friendly working environment.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
  • ability to safely operate fork trucks and other material handling equipment
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
  • adherence to safety, sanitation, and regulatory policies
  • physical ability to perform manual labor tasks
  • availability to perform sanitation tasks on a regular schedule

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
  • ability to operate fork trucks and other material handling equipment

  • knowledge of safety and sanitation protocols

Job Duties

  • load and unload trucks accurately in a timely manner
  • notify management of damaged or suspect product
  • complete loading or receiving tasks to comply with pjfs safety and quality standards
  • assure completion of required daily distribution paperwork, i.e., receiving logs, load sheets, damaged product, etc.
  • operate fork trucks and other material handling equipment in a safe and professional manner
  • perform daily, weekly and monthly sanitation tasks according to sanitation schedule
  • including, trailers
  • communicate with shift leader regarding safety, product levels, quality issues, day-to-day challenges, etc.
  • communicate with other department team members to ensure the correct product is being picked and loaded
  • assist customers with will-call pick-ups as required
  • ensure compliance with pjfs safety, sanitation and haccp policies & procedures, federal, state and local regulations (osh, fda, dol) and all papa john's international, inc., policies & procedures
  • perform other duties as assigned
