The Back of House Team Member position at Costa Vida is a dynamic and versatile role that includes responsibilities such as Runner, Flat Top Cook, Char Grill Cook, Dishwasher, Tortilla Maker, Cold Prep, and other positions as assigned such as Cashier, Lobby, Line Cook, Expeditor, Salad station, Drive-Through, or To-Go orders. This role is non-management and offers an hourly wage of $13.00.
In this role, the team member is crucial to fulfilling the core mission of delivering high-quality food and excellent service. Each shift involves preparing food items safely and in line with Costa Vida’s established standards, following specific recipes and menu builds carefully. The team member will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized work area, inputting data into food safety checklists when required, and assisting with packaging and delivering catering orders. Flexibility is essential as employees may be asked to work multiple positions during a single shift to meet business needs.

Job Duties
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring that their assigned position for their shift meets business standards and appropriately serves the guest any food item on the menu
- Greet the guest and prioritize guest needs
- Serve with a smile and make eye contact
- Prepare food safely and according to Costa Vida standards
- Follow menu builds and recipes precisely
- Comply with appropriate cleaning and sanitizing of workstations
- May input data into a food safety checklist system
- Assist with packaging and delivering catering orders
- Work multiple positions as assigned
- Learn and perform various roles with assistance from management
- Perform related duties as required
- Assist with receiving and organizing food deliveries
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and delivery
