Job Requirements

  • Food Handler permit
  • Proven experience as a cook preferably in a bulk or high-volume kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Ability to weigh and measure food accurately
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Assumes responsibility for ensuring that their assigned position for their shift meets business standards and appropriately serves the guest any food item on the menu
  • Greet the guest and prioritize guest needs
  • Serve with a smile and make eye contact
  • Prepare food safely and according to Costa Vida standards
  • Follow menu builds and recipes precisely
  • Comply with appropriate cleaning and sanitizing of workstations
  • May input data into a food safety checklist system
  • Assist with packaging and delivering catering orders
  • Work multiple positions as assigned
  • Learn and perform various roles with assistance from management
  • Perform related duties as required
  • Assist with receiving and organizing food deliveries
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and delivery
