Job Description

This job posting is for a restaurant position owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not Del Taco LLC. The independent franchisee is responsible for all employment-related matters including hiring, firing, discipline, wages, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. This separation emphasizes a unique work environment where the franchisee manages day-to-day operations and employment issues independently, ensuring a focus on community-level management and responsiveness to employee needs. The restaurant operates within the fast-food sector, providing quick, quality meals with an emphasis on customer service and cleanliness.

The role available is for Team Members who play a critical role in delivering an exceptional guest experience. Team Members are expected to bring enthusiasm, positivity, and dedication to their work environment. Job responsibilities include engaging with customers to create a friendly and helpful atmosphere, mastering complete knowledge of the menu to accurately answer guest inquiries, and operating the Point of Sale (POS) system to take and process orders efficiently. Team Members are trained to uphold rigorous food handling, safety, and sanitation standards at all times to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for approximately 95-100 percent of shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Food handler certification may be required
  • Ability to communicate, develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, managers, partners and guests
  • Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • General knowledge of computers and POS systems
  • Basic business math and cash handling skills

Job Duties

  • Delivers effective results in the areas of quality, guest service, safety, security, cleanliness and product preparation
