As a Team Member, you will be the face of Caribou Coffee, responsible not only for hand-crafting beverages to Caribou’s high standards but also for anticipating guest needs, making knowledgeable recommendations, and managing cash transactions accurately and securely. You will serve food offerings prepared per company guidelines and maintain store cleanliness, organization, and operational standards. Flexibility is key, as you will float between different roles—from barista to guest service—to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional experiences. This position demands resilience under pressure, a learner’s mentality, and a genuine passion for hospitality. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
- ability to see, hear, speak, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, sit, stand for 4 to 8 hours, bend and move intermittently during working hours with or without reasonable accommodations
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work at least one of the following: early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
- must be at least 16 years of age
- restaurant, retail, or guest service experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide incredible guest service by developing personal ongoing relationships with guests
- practice active listening and connection
- anticipate guest needs and proactively solve guest opportunities by demonstrating product knowledge and hospitality
- make enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations to delight guests
- create day making experiences that spark a chain reaction of good
- hand-craft beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures
- heat, prepare, and serve Caribou food offerings to Caribou standard operating procedures
- float between barista and guest service and willingly fulfill all team member roles and responsibilities
- take guest orders and manage cash drawer and follow all cash handling policies and procedures
- maintain the look and feel of a well-run store by following cleanliness, sanitization and organization standards
- actively think and act upon what the team and guest will need in the future
- differentiate between problems that can be solved directly and when to ask for leader support
- understand that the team is managing multiple priorities and willingly take direction from leaders
