This Golden Chick location is currently looking to expand its team by hiring a Team Member who will play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding dining experience for customers. This is an hourly paid position with a pay range of $10 to $13 per hour based on experience. The role involves interacting directly with customers, processing orders accurately through the POS system, managing payments, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. Team Members are expected to embody the company’s values by engaging customers with a positive attitude and supporting fellow team members enthusiastically.

The responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, inputting and presenting orders, managing cash transactions, and ensuring that all food preparation and presentation meet Golden Chick's high standards of quality and sanitation. Team Members will also help with routine tasks such as stocking supplies, cleaning work and dining areas, managing the display cooler, and notifying kitchen staff of special requests or shortages. This is a physically active role requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 60 pounds. The position demands flexibility to work variable schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Moreover, all new hires must obtain a State Food Handler certification within 60 days of employment.

Job Requirements

  • Must be willing to work variable schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds
  • Purchase non-slip shoes as required
  • Comply with health and sanitation guidelines and company policies

Job Qualifications

  • Less than high school education, GED or high school degree preferred
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Must obtain State Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude
  • Enter orders into POS system using suggestive selling
  • Receive payment by cash and credit card and maintain cash drawer
  • Present orders to guests and ensure order accuracy
  • Assist with ordering filling as needed
  • Read monitor to identify products that need to be prepared
  • Notify cook of special orders, shortages, and needs
  • Perform minor food preparation, stock supplies, clean dining room tables and restrooms
  • Sweep, mop, discard trash, and fill ice bins
  • Set up workstations with needed ingredients and equipment
  • Communicate with customers, team members, and managers professionally
  • Maintain cleanliness on service and order presentation counters
  • Organize and rotate the display cooler
  • Observe health and sanitation guidelines and protocols
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
  • Assist team members enthusiastically
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Work variable schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
