The Team Member role at Caribou Coffee is central to the brand’s success and guest satisfaction. Serving as the core of the Caribou experience, Team Members are responsible for crafting world-class beverages and delivering unparalleled guest service that goes beyond expectations. This position requires individuals who are passionate about hospitality, attentive to guest needs, and eager to learn and grow within the company. As a Team Member, you will be expected to develop personal, ongoing relationships with guests through active listening, thoughtful recommendations, and proactive problem solving. You will hand-craft beverages to Caribou’s high-quality standards and prepare food items with care and precision. Additionally, Team Members support store operations by managing cash transactions, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and flexibly fulfilling various team roles.

The Job also demands a positive mindset and resilience under pressure, as well as the willingness to collaborate closely with fellow crew members to create a supportive and fun work environment. Job Requirements

  • must be at least 16 years of age
  • ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
  • capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • able to stand, sit, bend and move intermittently for 4 to 8 hours
  • able to follow cash handling policies and procedures
  • able to manage multiple priorities
  • able to ask for help and follow directions
  • willing to adhere to cleanliness and sanitization standards

Job Qualifications

  • must be at least 16 years of age
  • ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
  • preferred experience in restaurant, retail, or guest service

Job Duties

  • provides incredible guest service by developing personal ongoing relationships with guests, practicing active listening and connection, anticipating guest needs and proactively solving guest opportunities by demonstrating product knowledge and hospitality, makes enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations to delight guests, hand-crafts beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures, heats, prepares, and serves Caribou food offerings to Caribou standard operating procedures, floats between barista and guest service and willingly fulfills all team member roles and responsibilities, takes guest orders and manages cash drawer following all cash handling policies and procedures, maintains cleanliness, sanitization and organization standards to keep store well-run, actively thinks and acts on future team and guest needs, differentiates between problems solvable independently and when to seek leader support, follows multiple priorities and takes direction from leaders, brings Core Values to life including support one another, make fun happen, be yourself, take ownership, and serve with love, brings joy to interactions and makes fun happen, is helpful to team members and guests, maintains a learner’s mentality and pursues effectiveness and correctness, shows up ready to do the right thing, serves with love and aims to make a big difference, takes ownership and aims to positively impact others, supports and is reliable to team members, shows resilience under pressure and asks for help as needed
