Job Description

This job opportunity is with a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee of Del Taco, a well-known fast-food chain celebrated for its Mexican-inspired menu offerings. Unlike corporate-owned locations, this restaurant is managed entirely by an independent franchisee who handles all employment-related responsibilities including hiring, firing, scheduling, wages, and overall management decisions. This means that if you are hired, your direct employer will be the franchisee rather than Del Taco LLC itself. The team prides itself on delivering excellent customer service and fostering a vibrant and engaging workplace culture that energizes both employees and guests alike.

As a Team Member at this independently owned Del Taco, your role is essential to the restaurant's success. You will be responsible for creating an amazing guest experience by delivering high-quality food, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, and demonstrating an enthusiastic and helpful disposition at all times. Your tasks will include accurately taking and processing guest orders using the point of sale system, preparing menu items to company specifications, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment that encourages guests to return. Understanding and adhering to company policies regarding food handling, safety, sanitation, and operations will be crucial. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business by recommending ways to improve restaurant operations.

This position demands individuals who can handle multiple duties with efficiency and maintain a professional appearance that aligns with the brand's image. Basic computer knowledge, especially familiarity with POS systems, will aid in smoothly carrying out transactional duties. The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and maintain positive interactions with colleagues, management, and guests. Physical stamina will be necessary as the job involves standing and walking for nearly the entire shift with occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds.

Candidates who are at least 16 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and hold or can obtain a food handler certification will find themselves well suited for this role. Reliability, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow instructions accurately while operating in a fast-paced environment are key attributes that will help you thrive in this position. Working as a Team Member here offers a chance to develop valuable skills in the foodservice industry and interact with a diverse customer base, all within the supportive structure of an independent business owner’s management.
