The available role is for a Team Member at one of the Jamba Juice locations operated by Fresh Dining Concepts. The Team Member is a critical position responsible for delivering an exceptional and memorable customer experience that aligns with the Jamba Juice brand. This role includes preparing and presenting Jamba Juice products with care and expertise, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store and work equipment, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals who are eager to enter or grow within the hospitality and food service industry.

As a Team Member, you will serve as the face of the brand, embodying Jamba Juice's core values, such as F.I.B.E.R. (fun, integrity, brand, energy, respect) and B.O.O.S.T., ensuring customers feel welcomed and valued. Responsibilities range from crafting quality smoothies and juices to operating cash registers and managing inventory. You will work closely with your teammates and supervisors to uphold store standards, promote health and safety, and facilitate smooth daily operations.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years old
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, highly stressed environment dealing with POS system, guests, and staff
  • Work with agility
  • Occasional long hours within applicable laws
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English and communicate one-on-one and small group for safety and communication
  • Ability to move freely through store including refrigerators and freezers with temperatures from 40 F to 10 F
  • Ability to test products by taste, color, and smell

Job Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience in the food service industry or equivalent retail experience
  • Current food handler certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions in English and request clarification
  • Strong guest focus with excellent people skills including positive attitude and quick learner
  • Availability to work shifts
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
  • Compliance with health and sanitation laws
  • High School diploma or attending school or commensurable experience preferred
  • Experience with computers, smartphones, iPads, retail handhelds, and POS systems preferred
  • General knowledge of food industry or retail operations preferred
  • Background in nutrition highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Deliver the ultimate customer service experience and impressions of the Jamba brand
  • Responsible for customer product and service standards
  • Follow all company operations policies and procedures
  • Responsible for delivering an exceptional customer in store experience by embodying the brand core values (F.I.B.E.R. and B.O.O.S.T.) at all times
  • Execute quality store operations including cleaning blenders, small wares, merchandise and store facilities as necessary
  • Operate food preparation machinery per age requirements
  • Stock supplies
  • Respond to directions accurately and timely
  • Adhere to all Jamba food, safety and security guidelines while respecting Jamba property
  • Master station operations
  • Complete Jamba store and company policy trainings
  • Provide a healthy consistent product by making and serving all Jamba products to specifications
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Execute proper portion control
  • Suggest and upsell to increase profitability
  • Operate cash register and handle cash transactions according to policy
  • Operate point-of-sale efficiently with minimal voids and accurately make change
  • Serve and provide samples to potential guests
  • Set up equipment, utensils and supplies for opening
  • Clean and put away equipment, utensils and supplies at closing
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance as directed
  • Comply with uniform and hygiene standards
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Comply with Fresh Dining Concepts policies and relevant federal and state regulations including safety and environmental standards (OSHA, EPA, Right to Know, EEO, ADA)
