The Team Member position at Fresh Dining Concepts is an essential role focused on preparing and presenting Auntie Anne's and/or Cinnabon products to customers while maintaining store cleanliness and equipment functionality. Team Members are the frontline representatives of the brand, tasked with engaging guests in a friendly and courteous manner while ensuring that food safety standards and company protocols are strictly followed. In this role, Team Members play a pivotal part in crafting delicious products such as pretzels, Cinnabons, and specialty drinks, ensuring that each item meets the high standards synonymous with Fresh Dining Concepts. Responsibilities include preparing dough, baking, shaping, dipping, bagging products, and operating ovens with precision timing. Additionally, Team Members will prepare specialty pretzels and other brand-specific products, manage customer orders efficiently using point-of-sale systems, and actively engage in upselling to enhance company profitability. The role also includes duties related to maintaining equipment cleanliness, setting up and breaking down supplies, and following company appearance and hygiene policies.

Ideal candidates possess basic math and reading competencies, a current or obtainable food handler certification, and a passion for delivering quality customer service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-1 years of experience in food service or retail
  • Ability to obtain food handler certification within 30 days if not currently certified
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including prolonged standing, walking, squatting, bending, repetitive hand/arm motions
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum age of 16 for oven operation and 18 for mixer operation
  • Good attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to test products by taste, color, and smell

Job Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience in the food service industry or equivalent retail experience
  • Current food handler certification or ability to obtain certification within the first 30 days as required by local law
  • Basic math and basic reading skills
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions in English and request clarification when needed
  • Strong guest focus with excellent people skills including positive can-do attitude and quick learner
  • Availability to work shifts
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
  • Compliance with all health and sanitation laws and regulations
  • Experience in computer, smartphones, iPads, retail handhelds, and POS systems preferred
  • General knowledge and understanding of the food industry or retail operations preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Prepare dough and other products such as lemonade, butter, dips, Cinnabons, and yogurt
  • Roll, twist, dip, shape, bake, and bag pretzels, Cinnabons, and yogurt
  • Prepare specialty pretzels or other brand products for Cinnabon
  • Insert, rotate, and remove pretzel and Cinnabon trays
  • monitor ovens for correct baking time and product color
  • Dip, drain, and fill pretzels and Cinnabons in the warmer or hot plate
  • Prepare drinks and bag orders using appropriate health and safety measures
  • Exhibit a friendly and courteous attitude toward guests and co-workers
  • Host, greet, and serve guests with a smile and take orders
  • Assertively and professionally suggest and upsell to increase company profitability and check average
  • Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently with minimum voids and accurately make change
  • Serve and provide samples to potential guests
  • Set up equipment, utensils, and supplies for opening
  • Break down, clean, and put away equipment, utensils, and supplies at closing
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance procedures as directed by the team member in charge of the shift
  • Always comply with uniform policy and company hygiene and appearance standards
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Comply with Fresh Dining Concepts policies and relevant federal and state regulations including safety and environmental standards
