The Team Member role at Caribou Coffee is essential to bringing this culture to life. As the core of the Caribou experience, the Team Member is entrusted with the responsibility of delivering world-class service and hand-crafted beverages, all while embodying the company’s core values. This position offers an opportunity for individuals passionate about guest service, coffee craftsmanship, and teamwork. The Team Member plays a vital role in developing meaningful connections with guests by practicing active listening, anticipating customer needs, and providing personalized recommendations. Each interaction is aimed at creating a joyful and memorable experience that influences the customer’s day positively.

Beyond guest interactions, the Team Member is responsible for ensuring that the store environment is welcoming, clean, and organized in line with Caribou’s standards. The role demands flexibility, as Team Members often float between barista duties and other guest service responsibilities. Candidates will manage cash transactions responsibly and adhere to company policies and procedures. Importantly, the Team Member embodies Caribou Coffee’s core values which include supporting one another, making fun happen, being authentic, taking ownership, and serving with love.

This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform various duties ranging from standing for extended periods to lifting up to 50 pounds.   • Provides incredible guest service by developing personal ongoing relationships with guests

  • hand-crafts beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures
  • heats, prepares, and serves Caribou food offerings to Caribou standard operating procedures
  • floats between barista and guest service and willingly fulfills all team member roles and responsibilities
  • takes guest orders and manages cash drawer following all cash handling policies and procedures
  • maintains the look and feel of a well-run store by following cleanliness, sanitization and organization standards
  • actively thinks and acts upon what the team and guest will need in the future
  • differentiates between problems that can be solved directly and when to ask for leader support
  • understands that the team is managing multiple priorities and willingly takes direction from leaders
