The position available is for a Team Member role, serving the brands of Auntie Anne's and/or Cinnabon. This role is essential in ensuring both the preparation and presentation of products meet the high standards set by Fresh Dining Concepts and the franchisors. A Team Member is responsible not only for creating delicious and visually appealing pretzels, Cinnabon products, and specialty items but also for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety within the store environment. This is a front-line role that involves direct interaction with guests, requiring a friendly and courteous attitude to provide excellent customer experiences.

This role offers an opportunity to learn a variety of food preparation techniques including dough preparation, baking, and assembling brand-specific products such as pretzels, Cinnabons, lemonades, and specialty dips. Beyond food preparation, Team Members handle orders accurately through the point-of-sale system, engage customers in a warm manner, and suggest additional menu items to enhance sales and guest satisfaction. The position requires adherence to local health and safety regulations, as well as internal company policies, ensuring a safe and pleasant atmosphere for both employees and customers.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum age to operate oven is 16 years old
  • Minimum age to operate mixer is 18 years old
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, and perform repetitive hand and arm motions for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly stressed environment
  • Agility
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English
  • Ability to effectively share information in one-on-one or small group settings
  • Ability to test products by taste, color, and smell
  • Compliance with all health, safety, and company policies
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Flexibility to work various shifts

Job Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience in the food service industry or equivalent retail experience
  • Current food handler certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions in English and request clarification when needed
  • Strong guest focus with excellent people skills including positive can-do attitude and quick learner
  • Availability to work shifts
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
  • Compliance with health and sanitation laws and regulations
  • Experience with computers, smartphones, iPads, retail handhelds, and POS systems preferred
  • General knowledge of food industry or retail operations preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare dough and other products including lemonade, butter, dips, Cinnabons, and yogurt
  • Roll, twist, dip, shape, bake, and bag pretzels, Cinnabons, and yogurt
  • Prepare specialty pretzels or other brand products for Cinnabon
  • Insert, rotate, and remove pretzel and Cinnabon trays, monitor ovens for correct baking time and product color
  • Dip, drain, and fill pretzels and Cinnabons in warmer or hot plate
  • Prepare drinks and bag orders using appropriate health and safety measures
  • Exhibit a friendly and courteous attitude toward guests and co-workers
