Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years old
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, highly stressed environment

  • Ability to effectively share information in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Ability to move freely including in walk-in refrigerator and freezers with temperatures from 40°F to 10°F

  • Compliance with uniform policy and sanitation standards
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience in the food service industry or equivalent retail experience
  • Current food handler certification or ability to obtain within 30 days as required by local law
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions in English
  • Strong guest focus with excellent people skills including positive can-do attitude and quick learner
  • Availability to work shifts
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
  • Compliance with all health and sanitation laws and regulations
  • High school diploma, attending school or commensurable experience preferred
  • Experience with computers, smartphones, iPads, retail handhelds, and POS systems preferred
  • General knowledge of the food industry or retail operations preferred
  • Background in nutrition highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Deliver the ultimate customer service experience and impressions of the Jamba brand
  • Responsible for customer product and service standards
  • Follow all company operations policies and procedures
  • Responsible for delivering an exceptional customer in store experience by embodying the brand core values
  • Execute quality store operations including cleaning blenders, small wares, merchandise and store facilities as necessary
  • Operate food preparation machinery as per age requirements
  • Stocking of all supplies
  • Respond to directions in an accurate and timely manner
  • Adhere to all Jamba food, safety and security guidelines
  • Master station operations of the store
  • Successfully complete the Jamba store and company policy trainings
  • Provide a healthy consistent product by consistently making and serving all Jamba products to specifications
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
  • Execute proper portion control with all ingredients
  • Assertively and professionally suggest and upsell to increase profitability and check average
  • Operate cash register and handle cash transactions while adhering to cash handling policies
  • Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently with minimum voids and accurately make change
  • Serve and provide samples to potential guests
  • Set up equipment, utensils, and supplies for opening
  • Break down, clean, and put away equipment, utensils, and supplies at closing
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance procedures as directed
  • Always comply with uniform policy and hygiene standards
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Comply with Fresh Dining Concepts, LLC policies and relevant federal and state regulations
