The role of Team Member within this restaurant encompasses a wide variety of responsibilities essential to the successful operation of both kitchen and front-of-house activities. Team Members are entrusted with tasks that include greeting customers warmly, taking and processing food and beverage orders accurately, and ensuring all orders are properly relayed between the service counter and kitchen staff. The position also requires the preparation, packaging, and pouring of food and beverages using various kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and food processors, all while maintaining rigorous food safety and sanitation standards. Beyond food preparation, Team Members play a crucial role in maintaining stock levels at the kitchen and service areas, managing salsa bars, and handling customer payments efficiently through cash register operation.

Additionally, Team Members are responsible for the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant premises, which includes cleaning floors, tables, windows, kitchenware, and equipment to ensure a pleasant and hygienic environment for both customers and staff. The position does not carry supervisory duties but demands flexibility and adaptability as the work environment can vary greatly depending on season, day, and time. Team Members must also observe relevant alcoholic beverage laws as applicable, maintain safety standards for public access, and perform any additional duties assigned by management. This role requires physical stamina due to frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work under moderate to high noise levels. Fluency in English and the capability to learn point-of-sale systems, kitchen screens, and recipes are also necessary for successful performance. Job Duties

  • Greet and thank customers
  • place customer food and beverage orders through verbal communication and/or automated systems
  • relay customer food and beverage orders from service counter to kitchen operations
  • cook, prepare, package and pour food and beverages in kitchen operations by and/or through the use of kitchen equipment
  • stock kitchen and customer service operations with necessary food, beverage, packaging and service materials
  • stock salsa bars with appropriate levels of sauces, condiments, paper and utensils
  • fill food and beverage orders of customers as part of coordinated kitchen and customer service operations
  • collect customer payments and return proper change to customers through use of cash register
  • unload deliveries of food, beverage, packaging and serving materials to restaurant
  • clean the interior and exterior of the entire restaurant premises
  • observe/follow alcoholic beverage laws, when applicable
  • maintain safe public access to the restaurant
  • perform all other duties as assigned by management
