The role of Team Member is critical to the restaurant's operation, blending various responsibilities in food preparation, customer service, and maintenance of cleanliness standards. Team Members will be instrumental in creating a positive dining experience through effective communication, prompt service, and adherence to food safety protocols. Duties range from greeting customers, processing food and beverage orders using point-of-sale systems, to assisting in kitchen operations by cooking and preparing menu items using specialized kitchen equipment such as fryers and grills. Additionally, Team Members will manage inventory by stocking supplies needed for both the kitchen and customer areas, ensuring seamless service throughout each shift.

This position also emphasizes maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the restaurant premises, including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and trash removal, contributing to a pleasant ambiance for guests. Team Members must comply with all state and federal regulations, including alcohol laws where applicable. While the position does not involve supervisory responsibilities, it requires teamwork, efficient communication, and the ability to perform multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.

Physical demands include considerable standing, walking, bending, lifting items up to 50 pounds, and using hands and arms for various tasks. The work environment can be fast-paced with varying noise levels depending on the time of day and season. Job Duties

  • greet and thank customers
  • place customer food and beverage orders through verbal communication and/or automated systems
  • relay customer food and beverage orders from service counter to kitchen operations
  • cook, prepare, package and pour food and beverages in kitchen operations using kitchen equipment while following food safety and sanitation procedures
  • stock kitchen and customer service operations with necessary food, beverage, packaging and service materials
  • stock salsa bars with appropriate levels of sauces, condiments, paper and utensils
  • fill food and beverage orders as part of coordinated kitchen and customer service operations
  • collect customer payments and return proper change through use of cash register
  • unload deliveries of food, beverage, packaging and serving materials to restaurant
  • clean interior and exterior of restaurant including floors, tables, seats, windows, doors, countertops, kitchenware and equipment
  • observe and follow alcoholic beverage laws when applicable
  • maintain safe public access to the restaurant
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
